watching sparticus. was confusing this with another gladiator movie i have seen. but the one i've seen was with charleton heston. this appears to be kirk douglas. checking..checking. stand by. ben hur is the one i've seen. the one on now is 3 hrs 16 min long. no idea how this got into my queue. i have pretty wild movies in my little online movie thing. here is what's currently in my top ten:

there are some real classics in there. looking forward to them all.
today was a real treat climbing pikes peak. it was long and a little breezy. actually i thought it was a piece of cake, as far as 14ers go. i had no problems. it was nothing like mt massive and the wind last week. and nothing like lindsey the week before that and hitting that tree. also massive didn't have a delightful gift shop with freshly baked doughnuts waiting for me on the summit. i even bought a pikes peak magnet to go on my fridge at work. pikes ended up being 4,500 feet of elevation gain, 13.5 miles and 8.5 hrs round trip, with around 30 minutes on the summit...eating doughnuts.
